SUMMER'S RUN COMMENCED
WITH GOOD PROSPECTS.

Mrs. Jane Cotiley returned to her
home on Smith ML last week from
visit of several weeks at the home
of her daughter, Mrs. Walter Lovely,
"who resides in Boise Idaho.
Mr. and Mrs. Fletcher visited
Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs.
John Fisher.
. The Scott Brothers started the
season's sawing Monday at their mill
on Smith Mt
Mr., and Mrs.,. Chas Wyatt of
Cricket Flat, took a trip to the Smith
Mt, county Saturday, visiting at the
home of John Fisher. Mr, Wyatt
drove over ten head of his yearling
calves to be kept on Fisher's range
during the summer.
W. W. Carter and wife and children
came to Minam Friday from Spokane.
Mr. Carter expects to spend the sum
mer on his homestead on the Mount
ain, clearing off the refuse from the
timber he sold Scott Brothers last
fall.
Fishers have moved into their new
residence which they built on their
ranch on the mountain during ' the
winter.
Mrs. Wilbur Bault called on Mrs.
John Fisher last Friday.
' Mr. Wiley, the cattle . man of
Wallowa, is ranging 200 or more head
of cattle on Smith Mountain this sum
mer.
