II. The Church is the home of the
Truth: ;
If Jesus Christ is the Truth, then,
His body must necessarily be the
shrine of the truth. He communicat
ed the sum of truth to His apostles,
and at Kis departure, promised to
: send them the Holy Ghost, the Spirit
of truth, to guide them into all truth.

once for all delivered. And it Is the
church which is described as "the pil
lar and ground of the truth."
III. The Church is the Ark of
safety: 1
If the Church by . God's appoint
ment, is the sphere of grace and home
of the truth, then it must be the ark
of safety. In the baptismal oflice it
is called "the ark of Christ's Church"
in which the baptized "being sted-
fast in faith, joyful through hope, and
rooted in charity, may so pass the
waves of this troublesome world, that
finally he m jf come to the land of
everlasting ate. Hence the maxim
"outside the Church, there is no safe
ty." That is there is no positive as.
surance to those without. These, we
must sorrowfully leave to the tender
mercies of God, Who will not allow
a soul to be lost through mere ignor
ance or surprise. But we are re
stricted to the means which He has
ordained, and only when these have
been faithfully used, can we speak
with absolute confidence.
So my friends, I bid you, as one
over you in the Lord and commiss
ioned in His name, to show you' the
true and right way, to seriously con
sider your attitude towards the
Church. If you neglect the Church,,
you are neglecting Jesus Christ. If,
owing to a grievance against myself
or others, you keep away from wor-
! ship, you are dishonoring Jesus
Christ and hurting grievously, your
own souls. If you are not confirmed,
you are refusing to receive the gift
which Christ offers you of His Holy
Spirit, to strengthen and enlighten
you and keep you in the truth. If
you do not partake of the sacrament
of the altar, you are depriving your
souls of their most vital food. If you
allow your children to remain un
baptized,' you are rejecting Christ's
loving invitation "suffer the . little
children to come unto me." Thus you
are keeping them out of the state of
salvation, and yet you say you love
them!
Let this Lent be one of soul search-
! ing and repentance, for having griev-
ousiy aone aespue 10 ine oouy ui
Christ, through indifference and ne
glect. Show your repentance in a
godly conversion. Come and worship
Him in His Word and from His pul
pit. Come and adore Him enthroned
on His altar, and let Him make your
sinful bodies clean by His Body and
Wash your souls in His most precious
Blood. "The Spirit and the Bride
sny come!"
(Rev. 22:17)
Affectionately Yours, for Christ and

For great efforts are being made in
this vicinity to sell baking powders of
inferior class, made from alum acids
and lime phosphates, both undesir
able to those who require high-grade
cream of tartar baking powder to
make clean and healthful food.
The official Government
tests have shown Royal
Baking Powder to be a
pure, healthful, grape
cream of tartar baking
powder, of highest
strength, and care should
be taken to prevent the
substitution of any
other brand in its place.
Royal Baking Powder costs only a
fair price per pound, and is cheaper
and better at its price than any
other baking powder in the world.
