ELG1II ENJOYS
INTER
PAST WEEK HAS BEEN SEVERE
ONE AT ELGIN.
Lumbermen Welcome Snow But Lum
ber Cut Will Be Curtailed.
Elgin, Ore., Feb. 7. (Special.)
Winter reigns supreme. Elgin lies
buried under 14 inches of perfectly
good, loose, soft, white snow. Elgin
was hit with a blizzard Sunday and
the latter part of last week, which was
followed up by a cold snap, the mer
cury falling to seven degrees below
zero Monday night, while on Wednes
day still lower 10 degrees. The cold
if continuing the present temperature,
will be of great benefit to the local
people. There has not as yet been
a cold snap of sufficient duration to
freeze ice for storage purposes, and
it is fervently hoped that the cold
will continue.
The snow, which until last week
had fallen very lightly, is certainly
"sticking" now for the loggers, who
are working full crews. Although
the prospective lumber cut this year
will be comparatively small to that
of. last year.
You Save Money.
When you buy Foley's Honey and
Tar Compound because just a few
doses stops the cough and heals the
cold, one bottle lasts a long time, and
the last dose, is as good as the first.
Mrs. S. S. sX20iVan Buren Street,
Kingston, N. Y says: "Father had
lagraippe and hiajcough was some
thing terrible and he could not sleep.
Foley,'s Honey and Tar Compound
not only stopped his coughing, but it
brought back my voice to me after a
severe case of bronchitis and larnyg-
itis." Adv. . Hill's Drug- Store.
