interests believed to te attempting to
stifle competititon in, the butter mar
ket is contained in the last bulletin
issued by Dairy and Food Commis
sioner J. D. Mickle.
"It is time that the creameries in
Oregon should cease trying to cut
each other's throats," he says. "With
quotations in Portland at 32c and
butterfat at shipping stations at 36c,
there is surely something wrong. Par
ties engaging in such work are either
underrating their tests to the dairy
men or are using unfair means to
destroy weaker creameries.

this fight, but we warn all that unless
parties indulging in such work change
their ways, we will carry the truth)
