Cove, Jan. 30. (Special) The
Cove high school divided itself into
two literary societies last Friday af
ternoon and each elected officers
Those elected by the first division are
as follows: Esther Trueblood, presi
dent; Hobart Brazille, vice-president,;
Veva Robinson, secretary; Phil Con
klin, treasurer. The officers of the
second division are Ada Geer, pres
ident; Floyd Antle3, vice-president;
Henry Muxfield, secretary-treasurer.
The first program is to be given by
the second division on Friday the
13th day of February.
' Ernest Forsstrom of North Powder,
was in Cove this week in the inter
ests of. the Forsstrom Brothers' store
of North Powder.
A large crowd of young people was
entertained at the home of Mr. and
Mrs. Ray Comstock last Saturday
evening. All report a splendid time
The Milton basketball team will
be in Cove next Thursday evening to
play the Cove Athletic, basketball
team. They will be entertained af
terwards by a dance. Everybody
come and show the Milton boys a good
time.
G. II. Holmes' family are expected
back the latter part of the week
from Enterprise, where they have
been since Christmas.
Bernard Orton, whose foot was cut
some time ago went to La Grande
Sunday, whore his foot will again be
operated on,
Mr. and Mrs. Phil Gregory of Eagle,
Idaho, is visiting her aunt, Mrs. Bun
yan Anderson. She expects to re
main several weeks.
