Khorassans temple Will beSstabJished indhh City
Sarltf in the Coming year
Weird, gruesome and uncanny are
the insignia of rank and coats of -arms
of the Dramatic Order of
Knights of Khorassan which early
in January will institute a temple
in this city, to be the only out-of---Portland
Doaky temple in Oregon.
"Khaled" temple is what it will be
called, N and His Honorable Scribe, .
R. L. Linpoln has. a "bunch C
bunches" to spring on the initial class. :
The Doakles, which is the short word .
for the long handle-appellation car
ried by the order, are to Knights of
Pythias what Shriners are to Masons, .
and the distinction that comes to La
Grande in a fraternal way through
the initiation of Khaled : temple is
marked. It is a fun branch of a
Bober order; its members are doomed
to smile, and all Eastern Oregon
will send pilgrims across the . hot'
Khorassan sands to La Grande when
the initial class goes into the mystic
clouds of mystery in this branch of
Pythinaism. Ceremonials are to be.
held here at stated times, and on such
occasions all Eastern Oregon will
contribute to the pilgrimage to the
mecca at La Grande. Great things ,
are promised for the temple that is
to be in this city. . 4
