Last Friday evening after their reg
ular meeting the members of the East
ern Star and their friends held a re
ception in honor of Dr. and Mrs. Brow
nell, who left yesterday for California.
The evening was passed very pleas
antly, a mock wedding being a feature,
with Dr. and Mrs.. Brownelhas the
happy bride and groom, attended by
the bridesmaid and best man, Rev, H.
I. Hanson performing the ceremony,
using the ring service.. After the cere
mony a banquet was served, and sev
eral timely speeches and toasts made.
In an appropriate short address Mrs.
Willis presented the doctor and bride
with a handsome pearl handled gold
pen as a token of the high esteem in
which they are held.
