Perry Social club was re-organized
recently with the following officers:
Geo. Andrews, president; Harry Han
sen, manager, and Geo. W. Perry sec
retary and treasurer. It is the aim
of this social club to give a number of
enjsyablh socials during the coming
season, which will no doubt be appre
ciated by the people of Perry as well
as fnends from La Grande. The
dances in Perry heretofore have ben

Jacob II. Trayner, who has been cm
ployed as ti'nc keeper for the Gran-lo
Ronde Lumber company, for the si it

Mrs. Trayner has been a promoter of
many social features here in Perry, al
so he is superintendent of the Perry
Union Sunday school. By diligence
and untiring efforts, he has fostered
this school from its . infancy un :il it
now stands a flourishing organization.
Sunday, October 19, Jno. Crimes, of
the American Sunday School union,
was' a visitor at Sunday school here
in Perry.
Wednesday evening Rev. Drahn, of
the Lutheran church, held services
here and a large number of the peo
ple were present to hear his masterly

A birthday' party was given at the
home of Mr. Chas. Hansen last night
in honor of their, daughter "Agnus." A
number of young people were pres
