Pretty Wedding Occurs at Haines

The Farmers' Mercantile Co., have
completed a machine shed . at ' the
rear of their store adding greatly to
the , facilities in handling machinery.
R. P. .Anderson returned from
Connell,. Wash., where he was in at
tendance during the illness and
death of his father, Joseph Ander
son. ,
The ,saw mills are running full
force, i There are three mills near
here ' owned ,j and operated by J.,
F. O'Bryant, A. A. Fidler and
Gustave -Saugestad. : The daily capa- j
city is 50000 feet. y Seventy-five men
are employed in operating the mills.
The lumber is being delivered ,at
Haines to J. F. O'Bryant, owner of
the wholesale and retail lumber yard.
The planer is being moved two
hundred feet east of the present lo
cation. The mill will be enlarged
and new machinery added. J. F. O'
Bryant .will construct a warehouse
on the old planer site. v

al, Baker, is acting as cashier for
the Bank of Haines during the ab
sence of Mr. Harder.1

plate glass was broken in the front
window of the Haines Commercial

series of bungles aided and abetted
by a couple of hits, a few bunts and j
a pass gave the Bears four scores,
bringing their total up to nine. The j

nex four.. Harmon's stick figured
largely in the victory for his three
bagger and homer were . responsible
for two runs. One of these come in
the first y but Pendleton bumped
Kelly for three runs in- the second.
An error,, a passed ball and a wild
pitch gave the Bear's another in the
third and in the seventh, a single,
three bagger and error gave them
two more. Pendleton evened it up
in . their half with a couple of hits
and then came Harmon's, homer in
the eighth and the four scores in
