Union, April 17. (Special) The
Parent-Teacher' Circle had their last
meeting of thJa school year on the
evening of April 15. Owing to the
tormy weather and wet streeta quite
a number that waa intending to at
:end did not get out but those that
were there felt more than repaid for
their trouble In coming. The music
wag very good. We were favored by
the young men'a quartet wn:cn gave
us two elections that were very
good and a piano duet by Margaret
Caalllhan and Clarice Brasher was
pronounced by all to be fine. Mr.
Wuthecombe waa scheduled for a
speech on school gardena but he said
that he had said all he could say
some time ago and made a motion
for the president to appoint a com
mittee and have them get busy.
Messrs. Witheycombe, tMcKennon
Olson and Giddlngs were appointed
committee. The papers and talks
on a committee.. The papers and
talks wore very fine especially those
of Mrs. Townley and Mr. Killaln
Both of these persons laid great
stress on the training of the child in
the home and It would have repaid
every parent In Union' to have been
present. The Parent-Teachers' Circle
expect to keep their organization
going right along and It is to be
hoped that the patrons of the schools
will attend better In the future than
ifhey have In the past
The Blue Mountain creamery are
doing lots of work on their plant
here. They have put In a . cement
floor and have done a general reno
vating and they, are making the
place as sanitary as they can. This
! ait up to date company and they
try to give their patrons as good
service as possible.
Miss Loueen Hutchinson left for
New York city last Sunday evening
for a visit to her sister Mrs. Am
brosia. She expects to be gone
about two months.
Mrs. J. Welmer was In the city on
business on Wednesday.
will Hutchinson has purchased a
new auto. It Is a Michigan lirt.v.
It is a beauty and Will need not take
anybody's dust Jn his new purdiase.

had a serious accident last Sunday.
