Purchases of potatoes are being
made. In the country at the lowest
price every known In the Pacific
northwest. Fancy eastern 'Multnom
ah and Clackamas offerings are being
taken In a limited amount at Sic a
cental. If there was a fair demand
even at that extreme level conditions
would not be quite so bad as they are.

berries was due In the 'ocal market
at noon. The shipment, 02 with two
others previously received, was di
vided between this city and Seattle.
The latest shipment was reported in

General forecasts of the butter
trade are for a further decline In tea
price of creamery here within a few
days. There is a noticeable increase
