probably ; be called upon to officiate
aa "district" attorney for one , more
sitting of the circuit court , in Wal
lowa. The new law making coanty

neys becomes effective the latter part
to May bnt the May term of circuit
court In Wallowa, sitd the second
Monday In May so it is probable that
the district attorney will have Juris
diction there for the May term. After
that date, Mr. Ivanhoe will be official
ly known as the county prosecutor
and will have only Union county in
his jurisdiction. As to the situation
of successor to Mr. Ivanhoe In Wal
lowa county, where Governor West
must appoint a man to serve the iin-
expired term, the Wallowa Sun says:
