sessment for the improvement of Oak
street, being Improvement district No.
61, of the city of La Grande, Oregon,
under the provisions of Ordinance
No. 643, series 1912, entitled, "An
ordinance declaring the cost of Im
proving Oak street from Alain to
Spring, determining the property
benefited hereby; levying an assess
ment thereon to defray the costs and
expenses of the Improvement; pro
viding for the assessment roll of the
same and directing the entry of said
assessments in the docket of city
liens; providing the time when the
same shall become delinquent, and
requiring the city recorder to prepare
a special assessment roll in accord
ance with the assessments herein
levied and to collect said assess
ments," the same being in improve
