A petition with 67 signatures on it
was presented to the county court this
morning for the reappointment of
Justice of the Peace W. J. Woods for
the Huntington precinct at the open
ing of the October session of the
county court, gays the Baker Herald.
Tl petition contains the names of
many of the business' men of the town
and may bear some weight with the
county court. It is. not known yet
whether It will be granted by the court
as the commissioners do not expect to
consider it till the latter part of the
weok.
There is a probability that the gov
ernor would act as he did before in
the case of .Mr. Woods and order hint
to resign.
