Henry Scott and wife, who used to

serted a lovely home in Grants 1'ass
for a place more suitable for Mrs.
Scot:, as she is in very poor health.
They will probably make their home
in I.a Grande once more. Mr. Scott

Dealers' association met here today
for a thrcv. days' session. In connec

Inspectors' National association is
holding its annual session.

tion of the Eastern Oregon division of
the Oregon State Teachers' association
to be held at Eenterprlse, October 16,
1" and 18. County School Superin
tendent E. E. Bragg of this county, is
now notifying the member's of the as
sociation relative) to tho rates, In
structions to them about reservation of
accomodations and inclosing a copy of
the general and department program
This will be the first time that the
association has gone into Wallowa
county, and as a trip to Joseph Lake
is on the program for Friday after
noon, a great many teachers will com
bine business with pleasure. A pe
culiar thing about these conventions
and probably the only Incident of its
kind In convention history Is that
attendance is required and that the
teaching license can be removed and
abbrogated as It were if the teacher
fails to report at the convention. The
