I tlo recent rains. Much of thy second
crop was down during the rains of last
, week and a great deal of the hay has
keen spoiled for baling or. moving.
I Similar conditions marked the harvest
' of the first crop. This shquld result.
however, in plenty of cheap teed for
stock the coming winter, as there will
be largre amounts of hay that will be
suitable for winter feed In the pasture,
but could not be accepted by the com
merclal demand. However, there Is a
plentiful yield of extra fine hay and
it Is expected that the second crop
will soon reduce the 'present price.
Timothy hay has dropped from $1S

higher figure In orders of a few bales

PROGRESSIVES ATTENTION!
We do not care whether you are a progressive or
a stand-patter politically, if you intend to be a pro
' gressive financially; you must be very careful in your
laud dealings. Nine-tenths of the land titles in Un
ion county are defective in some way. Buying a bad
title means lawsuits and unnecessary expense. De-.
mand an abstract to the property, you are going to
purchase. This will show up all defects and irregu
larities, then'let the other fellow stand the expense
of correcting the title. ,
