The O.-W. R. & N. special train will
leave La Grande on August 21st at
8:00 p. m. arriving at Portland August
22nd at 6:30 a. m. Excursionists may
leave Portland for the Beach on the
day of their arrival, or' stop over in
Portland going until August 23rd, and
on return trip up to September 5th.
Those who desire to go right on to the
Beach can take the steamer "Hassalo"
which leaves Portland Ash street dock
at 8 a. m., arriving at the Beach af
ter a few pleasant hours. Or they can
leave on the steamer, "T. J. Potter,"
the evening of their arrival at 10:30
p. m., arriving at the Beach early the
next morning,
The boats are equipped with excel
lent restaurant service, and the river
trip alone is worth the price of the
