"Tliereisnothiiitoogoodfor my family." You have often said it, and you
will always believe it. And it is the truth. A man's own people are the salt of
1 the earth. But do you make every effort that lies within your power to supply -,
. your, family with the best? . :
Have you given much hought to the constant improvement in conditions of
living that .is goinjr ou about you from year to year? Have you ever stopped to
think of the wonderful increase in the number of modern conveniences the elec
trie light, the, telephone, asphalt and concrete paving that have done so much
to add to the comfort and east of life within the past few years! Every day, in
"your work no matter what your occupation may be you make use of new and
improved time and labor-saving devices. You keep abreast of the times in your
work or your business. You have to or you wouldn't last very long, But what of
. your home and your home life? Are you as liberal in that as you are in 1 other
things ? Does your family enjoy the same kind of conveniences in their home life
that' you do in your business life? Connordale is beautifully situated and ful
ly improved. Building restrictions on each lot insure a uniform and artistic de
velopment of the whole tract. The people and the city government of La Grande
have proven themselves to be "progressives" of the highest type alive to the de-
sirability of every modern city improvement wide streets, parking spaces, the
best of .paving, and artistic, well-kept homes. Where do you stand? Do you have
someone else's barn-yard under the back -windows of YOUR home? Do YOU pre
fer muddy streets and board walks to asphalt and concrete? Would YOU like to
have a flimsy shack, occupied by undesirable neighbors, jammed up against
YOUR home? Ask your wife. She is the one that stays at home and keeps the
house. You may have to put up with th ese things where you live now you
' won't if you buy a lot and own a home in Connordale. If you haven't seen Con
nordale yet let us show it to you. Our office is on the ground floor of the La
Grande National Bank Building. '

A Wonderful Tonic
That Aids Digestion
Unwinds ate unable to digest cer
tain kinds of food. In most cases it is
not tne fault of the food, nor tne stom
ach. It la probable that tbe stomach
has been abused. Many resort to pre
dicestcd foods and various kinds of
medicine to get relief from dypepsla,
indigestion and heartburn, but without
permanent' benefit.
If your stomach, was in perfect con
dition, von would not need medicine to
digest the foods you eat. Jayne's Tonic
v erauiugo is a eiuuulcu leguiiawi. w
gets the stomach in such a condition
that it will digest food, without other
assistance. It overcomes the acidity
and ' stimulates the coating of the
stomach and intestines so that they
will properly absorb and assimilate the
nutriment from the food eaten. Suf
ferers from dyspepsia and indigestion
will find permanent relief in a short
time after beginning the use of the
tonic. Tot children, the addition of a
little sugar will make it most pala
table. Many forms of supposed Indigestion
are the result of intestinal parasites,
for which Jayne's Tonic Vermifuge is
Unsurpassed. Insist upon Jayne's; ac
cept no other. Millions have praised it
for more than eighty years. Sold by
druggists everywhere. Sr. D. Jayne
