sessment roll for t;ie improvement of
Spring avenue, boiiis; improvement
district No. 40, of the city of La
Grande, Oregon; under the provisions
of ordinance No. 610, series 1912, en
titled, "An ordinance declaring the
cost of Improving Spring street from
the west line of Fourth street to the
east line of Alder Btreet by the con
struction of a board walk; determin
ing the property benefited thereby,
levying an assessment thereon to de
fray the costs and expenses of the
improvement; providing for the as
sessment roll of the same and direct
ing the entry of said assessment in
the docket of city Hens, provid
ing a time when the same shall be
come delinquent and requiring the
city recorder to prepare a special as
sessment roll in accordance with the
assessment herein levied and to col
