1 Cove, June 28. (Special)-On Fri
day evening, June 21st, the Epworth
League of Cove gave the young people
ol the Vnlon Epworth League a cor
dial welcome to a social function, got
ten up for their especial benefit.
A four-horse team and hayrack was
lent from Cove, and about 20 of the
young people from Union got on board
and enjoyed the novelty of a straw
ride to Cove and return; others came
In their own rigs and Union was rep
resented bv about 35 young people.
The social was held in the Odd Fel
lows hall and the young people gath
ered to the number of about 80; sup.
per was served between the hours of
six and seven oclock, after wmcn
stroll around the town was a brief

where music, recitations and games
were enjoyed for about two hours, at

little town of Cove, for a merry, jolly
lot of young people were wending
