tomorrow afternoon to . formulate
plans for their portion ot the enter
tainment to be accorded wives ot Elk
from other sectloan , of the United
States who are to visit In La Grande
for varying periods Just prior to and
after the Elks' grand lodge. Several
special trains carrying Elk to Port
land will be baited here for an hour
or two and the Elk themselves will
look after the visiting Elk and a com
mittee of La Grande ladles are to en
tertain the ladles who may be on these
trains. The first stop Is to come on
the 6th when Salt Lake, Omaha and
other special trains stops here.- The
committee, headed by Mrs. T. J. Scrog
gin,' meets tomorrow and the member
ship of the committee is Mrs. 'M. B.
Donohue, Mrs. F. L. Lille j", Mrs. John
