The Jocular Winds of Fate Featuring
Maurice Costello
ThU tht)f6Uihlr well acted and he
llghtful picture will be the feature at
Sherry's Monddy and Tuesday, June
3 and 4, giving a tary romantic com
edy. We have never seen Afr. Costello
to better advantage than fn this role
of a poverty stricken nobleman whose
lawyer has told him he must marry I
money and who becomtvs chauffeur to I
a rich brewer with a daughter (Flora
Flnck) who will be a great heiress.
Mrs. Kate Price Is the brewer's wife.
On the other side of the picture.
tlipre is a pretty heiress (Clara Kini-
bal Young) whose mother insists thai
she marry a duke (James Young). She
simply won't do It, and runs away to
serve as a maid In the brewer's fam
ily. Without knowing who is who.
she and the chauffeur fall In love. We
have given but the briefest sketch of
this pictures story, its value comes
from the unstrained humor of Its situ
ation and from the acting. Mr Ober,
as the lawyer, makes his part a dis
tinct and lovable character Mr. James
Young, as the duke, Is remarkably
true to a type. Clara Kimball Younn
j Is charming In the role of the roman
tic girl and acts very naturally. Flora
Finch, perhaps a bit too aristocratic
In appearance for her part, funlshes
the best part of the comedy. Mr. Cos
tello's playing In romantic roles has
won hlra the widest kind of reputa
tion; he Is perfect
Dandy
