(By J. H. Rukd.) ; :; ',, ;
Not all sections of (lie country are
trained to the value of the Epworth
League Institute as a training school
for young Methodism. Some districts
are so scattered that at first an- In
stitute such as is conducted front the
central office seems entirely out of
reach. , The La Grande district with
an area equal to the ' state of Ohio
held a convention last fall at Union,
Oregon, In which. were introduced in
stitute methods , on a simple scale.
This year the call comes for an in
stitute. The expense of a central
office institute proved a greater bur
den than we felt we could bear so we
decided to conduct,, an Institute la
which we are to have Instructors from
our own section of the country. They
are all strong workers In their par
ticular branches of instruction. Dur
ing pur sessions we are to have with
us as Instructors or speakers the
following: Dr. K. B. Frye of Boise,
Ida.', Dr. Powell of Caldwell, Ida.,
T A. BIsby of Boise, Rev. H. S Ham
ilton of Alicel- Miss Edna Breoken
ildge of La Grande; Dr. G. G. Haley
of Payctlo, Idaho; Rev. C. L. Walker

Rev. Nathan Evans, Pendleton;. Mrs.

, From all reports a large delega
tion will be present at Bakor, Oregon,
June 5-G to enjoy tbU ."i lendld In
