' New By-Laws of the Grande Ronde
Chautauqua. association were adopted
this week and materially change the
general scheme of finances. The asso
ciation will henceforth have a specific
membership and holders of one-ticket,
admissions cannot participate In the
administering of affairs as now. " The

; Article 1 Membership;'
Anyone over the age of twenty-one
years may become a member of th)s
association by pay lng a membership
fee of Ten ($10.00) Dollars, which
membership fee shall keep member in
good standing for the year in which
the Same is paid, and said membership
fee shall entltlesald member to four
(4) season tickets to the annual Chau
tauqua Assembly, or Its equivalent in
half tickets. All members shall have
the privilege of one vote at all mem
bership meetings of the association. '
Article 2. Dues.
: The membership fee paid upon ad
mission into the membership of this
association shall be considered as the
first year's dues. Thereafter the dues
of this association shall be Ten
($10.00) per year and said dues shall
entitle the member to the same tick
ets to the annual assemblies of th!s
association as does the membership

Article 8. OHicers. .
Section 1. ' There Bhall be elected
by the members of this association

Vice-president and secretary and may

rants unon the treasury and perform
such other, duties as the Board of
Trustees may erqulre or as may ap
pertain to his office.
Sec. 4. The viee president shall as.
sit the president In the performance
of his duties, and in his absence have
full authority to act In his place and

all of the minutes of . the Board of
Trustees and members of this asso
ciation; he shall sign air warrants
upon tho treasury with the president
and perform such other duties as the
Board of Trustees mny from time to
time require or as may appertain to
his office.
Sec. 6. The Board of Trustees may
elect a Treasurer who shall keep ac
curate account of all money received
and expended by the association, make
due report thereof and perform such
other duties us the Board of Trustees
mov from time' to time direct.
Article J. Vacancies
The Board or Trustees shall have
the power to appoint any duly qual
ified person to fill any office of this
association for any unexpired term,
and In case any trustee of this asso
ciation falls to attend any of the meet
ings of the Board of Trustees of this

Article .". Annual Assemblies. "
Sec. 1. Annual assemblies of this
association at which programs or an

time as the Board of Trustees may at
any meeting of said Board designate.
Sec. 2. The admission fee to said
Annual Assemblies shall be by ticket,
which shall be of four classes; the
first class season ticket; second class
season half ticket for children un
der sixteen years of age and over
right: third single admission tickets

years of age ami over eight. The
price of said tickets shall be such as
the rionrd or Trustees shall designate
for each and' every assembly.- All

At no time will there be allowed
upon the grounds of this association
