Cove, May 1. (Special) A few of
the Cove bachelors spent the evening
of April 20th at the Stackiand Bros.'
Grand View Fruit farm and dinner
was served by the Stackiand brothers
to the following guest:
John Dean, Frank Mustek, Haaken
Jacobsen, Lee Dixon, Webster Dixon,
Harry Antles, Bernie Bergholz, Wil
liam Stock and Martin. The following
menu was enjoyed:
Sliced tomatoes, sweet pickles,
chicken salad, chicken and French
frys, hot rolls, Sunshine cake, angol
cako and coffee. After serving frosh
cherries and cigars, the company ad
journed to the sitting room, where
thoy proceeded to organize the Cove
Uuchelor club.
Officers were elected and a commit
tee was appointed to draw up the
by laws and constitutions. The object
of the club is to bring together all the
bachelors of Cove and vicinity.
This coming season the clubs ex
pects to give a series of social gather
ings. The club will be glad to com
municate with other bachelor club In
any part of the country.

During the discussion that follow
ed it was brought out that it would
be necessary to build a hall if most of
the bachelors In Cove came into the
club, which prospect is very good, as
the secretary already has several ap
plications In to be passed on for the
next meeting, which is May 2nd, and
future meetings will be held every
two weeks on Thursday nights.
The balance of the evening was
spent with music and stories, and mid
night came along before adjournment
was In order:
