SOCIETY
Iowa School Honse Scene of Pretty
: Home Talent Production.
The promoters of the Pioneer, Lit
erary society made the hit of the sea- j
son' with tne two Dour comedy arama
"Among the Breakers" at the ' Iowa
school house last Saturday evening.
' It was an Ideal moonlight night and
sleighing was excellent and brought
out tour horse 'sleigh loads from Im
bier. Pleasant Grove and Dry Creek
neighborhoods. Many came as much
as ten miles. Allcal was also well
represented. Needless to say that the
house was filled to capacity and stand
ing room was at a premium long be
fore the curtain raised. ;
The piny Is a very strong moral plot
beautifully mingling sunshine with
shadows and demanding much good
work. Jt was well rendered and re
flects much credit upon the energy
and ability of the players.
Such enjoyable entertninments go
far towards relieving the monotony of
, rural life and the promoters are en
titled to every 'encouragement .from
(he community. .
