session last night. The annual re

' The city auditor's report was read
and referred and will be published
within a day or two. It shows, the
city's financial status at the present
time and is exhaustive in its scope.

report, Auditor Mansager report
ed the changes necessary to put the
city's account on a dally balance.ba:
sis. This was In answer to a request
from Mayor Church inculcated In his
Initial message to the council. The
auditor's 1 recommendations polntel
out that no great changes would be
required . in the present syBtem of
books but that an accountant be givei
complete charge of the books. This
would be realized-at a small added ex
pense over the present system of em
ploying an assistant to the recorder
from the first to the 10th of eacTP
month. This report wbb reierred and
will probably te -acted upon shortly.

must purchase soon. Without urging

ing and spoke of the merits of the
