Girls' basketball will be Introduced
to La Grande the first time this sea
son, when, tomorrow night, the La
Grande girls moet the Union high
school girls.- Several weeks' practice
has perfected the local co-eds to a de
gree where they are confident of giv
ing Union a merry chase for first hon
ors tomorrow night and all lovers of
j girls' basketball will see a good brand
of the sport at the high school gym.
The girls game is called at 7:45 In
order to permit the staging of a boys'
game between halves. The Union high
school boys will match strength, wits
I and agility with the local' quintet and
two games of far more than ordinary
attraction will be staged. Immediate
ly after the first half, which commenc
es at 7:45 the boys will take the floor
and alternate until both teams have
played their fill. The fans will get
their first line on the capabilities of
the girls and will see a big 'improve
ment In the boys' team over former
! performances this year.
