Prices for foodstuffs 43 years ago compare very favorably with the pres ent so called unprecedented quota tions. The prices prevailing in North Iowa during the year 1868 are report ed from the files of the North Iowa Times in a clipping preserved by Mrs. Irene King of South La Grande.
