J, D. Lj'uch today noon pronounced,
the general delivery system inaugur
ated here as working smoother the
fii'st day than he anticipated. A
few misunderstandings were encoun
tered but the troubles that were ex-.j
pected in getting the system under
working order wil'l be less than the!
sanguine promoter hoped for. Mr.
Lynch's explanation of the working
principle o tthe system whereby one
company does all the delivery for all
or practically all of the grocers In
town, follows:

After Investigating systems in other
cities and finding the plan satisfactory
to merchants and patrons, I have de
cided to establish a system here. '
Merchants have found it impossible,
at times to make delivery early
enough for meals. Under the new sys
tem, goods will be delivered at regu
lar hours, and early enough for meala
and Customers will be more s it 'if a is
torlly served because ir.ore frequently
and regularly served, and house
wives can determine within a
.ew minutes when goods - will
le received and , w'.M get meat3
and groceries on the same delivery
and can plan work accordingly.
Better delivery service is the pur
pose of the system.
