Notice of the recorder of the city
of La Grande, Oregon, of the assess
ment of the south half, of Lake ave
nue from North Second street to the
west line of North Cedar street.
Notice is' hereby given that the as
sessment roll for the Improvement of
'the south half of Lake avenue from
North Second street to the vest line
of North Cedar street, being In im
provement district No. 28, in the city
of La Grande, Oregon, under the pro
visions of Ordinance No. 556, Series
1911, entitled, "An ordinance declar
ing the cost of improving the south
half of Lake avenue from North Sec
ond street to the west line of North
Cedar street ; determining the
property benefited thereby, levy
ing an assessment thereon to
defray the costs and expenses of
the improvement: providing for the
assessment roll of the same and di
recting the entry of said assessment
in the docket of city liens; providing
a time when the same shall become
delinquent and requiring the city re-

roll in accordance, with the assess
ment herein levied and to collect said
assessment," the same being In im
provement district No. 28, iu said city
of La Grande, Oregon, is now in
my hands for collection and that any
assessment therein may be paid to me
at any time In ten (10) days from the
9th day of November, 1911, without
penalty, interest or cost; and each
property owner is" hereby notified that
on application to the undersigned
within ten (10) days from the 9th day
of November, 1911, which is the first
publication of this notice they will be
allowed to pay such assessments in
ten (10) annual installments, the first
installment thereof bt.ng due and pay
able on or before the 9th day of No
vember, J912; if application is not
made as above provided the whole
amount will be and become due, pay
able and delinquent on the 20th day
of November, 1911.
All property owners interested are
hereby notified .to appear at my office
in the city hall and pay the Same.
