Program From Many Varieties of In strunients Pleases Large Crowd. Several hundred people last' night heard the Apollo concert 1n a series of bell rlning, saxaphonje, cornet, piano, trombone and what not num bers. Immensely' entertaining, the troupe leaves La Grande with highest commendation, and the Chautauqua people have set a precedent for the following numbers to emulate. The program was' a happy blending of medleys, overtures and classics, from Instruments' of many descrip tions. All are clever musicians but Mr. Holmes, a member of the company fs especially versatile with the musi cal pen,. for several of the number were of his own compositions, among these being two exceptionally clrever numbers, and a third,' the only light and frivolous number on the program, a reproduction of Hy Henry's min strel band.
