lowing resolution was adopted. '
I "Whareas, the grange stands for
good roads when built so as to best

I improved highways should be built
from the places of market into the
surrounding country, and,
"Whereas, there Is a growing de
mand for good roads by pleasure seek-
ers and special interests for selfish1
purposes without the best interests of'
the country In view, j
"Therefore, BE IT RESOLVED, by!
the Union County Pomona Grange In'
regular session assembled that we are
unalterably opposed to the creating!
of new highways or of the improve-!
ment of special automobile boule-'
vards at the expense of the taxpayers '
of this county." j
Resolutions were also adopted fa-'

prohibiting of treating to Intoxicating,
liquors. The county grange is to give ,
a banner to the subordinate grange In :

A big picnic dinner was furnished at
noon and the afternoon session was
