ORDINANCE JiO. 629, SERIES 1911.
An ordinance' declaring the. cost of
Improving Fourth street . from the
north line of Adami avenue to the
outh lino of O avenue; determining
the property benefitted thereby, levy
ing an assessment thereon to defray
the cost and expenses of the Improve
ment; providing for the assessment
roll of the same, and directing the en.
try of the aaid assessment in the dock
et of city liens; providing a time when
the same shall become delinquent anJ
requiring the city recorder to pre.
pare a special assessment roll in ac
cordance with the assessment herein
levied and to collect Bald assessment.
The city of La Grande does ordain
as follows: ;. .. . ;.
(Section " 1. That the . council has
considered the proposed assessment of
the property benefitted by the Im
provement of Fourth street from the
north line,. of Adams avenue to the
south line of 0 avenue and all objec
tions made thereto, and' hereby ascer
tains, determines and declares the
whole cost Said improvement in the
manner provided by resolution duly
passed by the council on 4he 24th day
of August, 1910, to be the sum of $28..
679.96, and' the property hereafter de
scribed is specially benelKted by said
improvement, and the special and pe
culiar benefits accruing to each lot or
parcel thereof, or parcel of land with
in the assessment district and which
is so specially benefitted by reason of
said improvement, and which has been
equitably apportioned among all
blocks, lots, parts of Jblocks and lots,
land and real estate bounding, abut
ting, contiguous, fronting and adja.

that said assessment shall become due
and payable immediately after the
same is entfrea in tne aocKet or city
liens and delinquent within ten (10)
days thereafter. .
Section 3. When the recorder of
the city of La Grande 6hall have com
plied the special roll In accordance.
with the provisions of this ordinance,"!

the provisions of chapter 5, title 26, of

and effect from and aft r its passage
by the council, its approval by the
mayor and publication in one issue off
the La Grande Evening Observer.
