A very pretty Beven course dinner was
served by Dr. and Mrs. Seemann last

the Presbyterian church. The table
was decorated with red carnations and
the color scheme in red was carried
out very harmoniously. Sirs. Seemann
was assisted by Mrs. J. K. Wright,
Mrs. Walter M. Pierce, Mrs. Turner
Oliver and Mrs. C. E. Cochran The
occasion was the organization of the
boards of the church. There were
prfesent altogether 17 gentlemen. ..
Mrs. Fred Kiddle was hostess to the
Bridge club this week. The guests
from La Grande made the trip in a
carryall and experienced all the vic
issitudes of such a trip in a hayrack
arrangement for a vehicle.

Mr. Lunn's first lecture, April 7, will
be on "The Poultry Industry In Ore
gon." He will speak April 14 , on
"Locating and Constructing the Poul
try Plant;" Aril 21 on "Selecting and
Reproducing a Flock;"' April 28 on
"Feeds and Feeding;" and May 5 on
"Preparing and Mark;tlng Poultry
Products."
These are to be free lectures, and
will be given In the evening, lri the

& N. will open its new branch from
Attallla to North Yakima, and will
run a through train dally between
Walla Walla and North Yakima, leav
ing Walla Walla at 9:13, arriving at
North Yakima at 3:09 p. m.
Returning train will leave North
i'aklma at 8:45 a. m.. arriving in Wal
la Walla 2:30 p. m.
