holding the social spirit in check, lov
ers of dancing are elated over the an
nouncement that the Park association
will give the first post-Lenten ball.
This event will bf held the Monday
evening following Easter Sunday and
the proceeds will be H3ed to carry on
the finishing touches at the park. The
park ladles admit, reluctantly, that
they are out of funds and th? money
which they hope to receive from this
dance will be used to round up and
complete the park. Eighteen hundred
dollars have be n suent this winter in
completing the dam which, will give
plenty of water for the boating cours
es, swimming holes and bathing facil
ities. The roadway In the park Is now
In process of construction and there is
money enough to pay for what work
