ent remarks:
.William H. Turner, supported by a
capable company, appeared last even
ing at the- Helena theatre In "Father
and the Boys" one of the most de
lightful comedies that George Ade has
written. Mr. Turner acquitted him
self with credit In playing the char
acter of "Father," which William H.
Crane created, but Mr. Turner plays It
far better than did Mr. Crane.
The play was presented here last
year by Mr. Crane, consequently the
story Is fairly well known. Mr. Tur
ner, for a number of years appeared
In the part of David Harum, which
gave him a national reputation as a
character-actor. His Interpretation of
the part of "Father" Is excellent All
of his, associates were quite up to the
standard, therefore the performance
in almost every particular was about
as good as Is generally seen by any
traveling organization.
