Added details of the shooting at
Lostlne last Sunday Is brought to La
Grande In private letters and It is in
dicated that W W. Wining, the man
who worked the firm arm, is suffering
with a crushed skull as the result of
a counter attack by William Willett,
a son of Archie WUlett with whom
the eral quarrel with Wining started.
The younger Willett rushed in and
when the fl?ht began struck down
and crushed Winlng's head after the
shooting had taken place. . It appears
that the older Willett is mortally
wounded, though at first It was
serious. The bullet . has not been
removed from the base ,of his head
where it lodged after passing through
