The Greeley memorial fund committee, of which John I. D. Bristol Is pres

Bedell secretary, has sent out the following announcement: The entire nation
will celebrate the Horace Greeley centenary, Feb. 3. 1911, is the present out-'

nd favorable responses have been received from many states. Luther L,
Wright, head of the schools of the state of Michigan, writes, MI shall be
pleased to ask the schools of this state to observe this day with proper exer

for a press luncheon in commemoration of the life and services of Horace

Greeley, memorial committee that the union is working upon the matter of
properly celebrating the centenary of its first president. Horace Greeley. The
movement of the Greeley centenary originated, at Chappaqua. It was decided
by the men who are actuated by the highest patriotic motives that right there
(Chappaqua) would be the proper plnce to erect a statue in memory of Horace
