And it Is safe to say, that the final

not unusually marked in a one-sided

new rules and the open play were

placed another quality on their
scroll of pledges which they would
strive to emulate to win favor In the
eyes of their fair ladles.
Scores Faster at Finish.
Although the style of play did not
give a heavy team a direct advantage
yet the weight of the Spokane boys
soon began to tell on the lighter men
from the south and touchdowns were
much easier as darkness was falling
in the last mlnuteB of play. Two of
the visitors were taken from the
game because of Injuries, but were
not considered seriously hurt

When the game started at 2.35 the
La Grande boys rushed the ball down
the length of the field, only to lose It,
and after regaining it, started another
march which made the Spokane root

the game yesterday. The expenses of
the visitors were 1250 for the long
trip and the crowd was very small be
cause of the counter attraction of the
Gangaza-Montana game,
There was but one penalty given
during the game and it went against
La Grande for Interfering in a for
ward pass. There was no wrangling
and very little time out for hurts. The
spectators got as solid return for
their money as in a pint of oysters
under the pure food law.
