the big frontier show the ex-president
has written the following letter to J.
R. Raley, president of the Round-Up
association.

My Dear Sir: I wish I could ac
cept but it is a simple impossibility. I
have received literally thousands of
similar requests and with the' best
wishes in the world it has proven an
Impossibility for me to accept one In
a hundred of these invitations. I deep
ly appreciate the courtesy and kind
ness of those who ask me to speak,
but you have no conception of the
drain it is upon me even to accept the
very limited proportion that I am
physically able to accept, and I could
not possibly increase this proportion
Or accept more of the invitations that
come to me without absolutely aban
doning all though of other work.
