TLTE AMERICAN PEOPLE to the fact that there is no placo this
side of Tophet where a man can afford to bo dishonest or, where he
cat afford to let his individual greed stand in tin way of the contin
uancc'of the republic. 1 might odd that. the, people are coming rap
idly to a realization of this.
LEGISLATE AS YOU WILL, LOAD THE 8TATUTE BOOKS AS
YOU PLEASE,. MAKE IDEAL LAWS IF YOU CAN, BUT UNTIL WE
HAVE PUBLIC OFFICIALS WHO ACKNOWLEDGE ALLEGIANCE TO
