from Portland and Astoria, where, at
the last named city, he attended a ses

Baker City was elected great sachem
and the next council will be held in
Portland.
While in Portland Mr. Cherry pur
chased the balance of machinery
needed for the completion of his new
laundry here, and installation of ma
chinery will start, next week.
