soon. They have written to friends
here from the Garden of. the Gods.
Mr. and Mrs. Frank Weeks. have
been in Pendleton today on their way
to Wallowa county. Mrs. Weeks was
formerly, MJss LuK Lorenz, traveling
correspondent for the Portland Jour
nal and East Oregonian. At pesent
they are members of a show troupe.

gates from fifteen countries are pres
ent at the annual congress of the-In-ternatlonal
League of Touring Asso
ciations which began .here today and
will continue to August 1. The work
of the congress is directed mainly to
ward securing uniformity Jn Interna
tional touring conditions and most
substantal results have been'accom
plished, with greater advances Indi
cated for the near future. The total
membership ol' the allied bodies ex
ceeds 500,000.
