Council determined and declared its
intention to improve all that portion
of Adams Avenue, or Street, in said
Improvement district as hereinafter
described, by laying thereon maca

ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS".
Section 1. That the Mayor and Re
corder of the City of La Grande, Ore
gon, be, and they are hereby author
ized and directed to enter a contract
with C. T. Darley, for building cement
sidewalk and cement curb on and
along Pennsylvania avenue and
Fourth street, in front of the proper
ty of the City, and the intersection
of said avenue and street, for a sum
not to exceed the amount bid by said
Darley. .. '
Section 2. This ordinance shall be
published In one issue of the La
Grande Evening Observer and after
Its approval by the Mayor, shall take
effect on and from the 9th day 'of
August, 1910.'
