Important Event In Annals of Union
County Farmers Union.
An event that will rival the recent
horse show In number of attendance
will be held at Union In July some
time when the Co-operative Farmers
Union holds Its annual picnic. There
are about 1000 members of the Union
in Union county and the families of
all these members aim to attend the
picnic. In addition. Union county will
Invite Baker and Wallowa counties,
and so many are expected from Wal
lowa county that it is hoped to have
an excursion from Wallowa county.
At any rate one will be run from El
gin, picking up all guests along the
right of way. Three thousand at least
will attend If the weather is satisfac

on hand and will deliver aa address
and Secretary John McAllister has a
large list of other speakers on the
schedule to entertain the audience.'

sengers for this work, and tbe scheme
has found much favor with the public.
