Interstate Cottonseed Crushers' Asso
ciation, which convened in the Arkau
sas capital today for an annual ses
sion of three days.
Many new by-products of cotton
seed have lately been discovered and
when perfected will largely increase
the food value of that article. Prom
inent physicians declare that cotton
seed oil is the most nutrlous and
healthful of foods, as well as the most
easily digested.
Cottonseed crushers declare that
when the merits of their products are
known better, the cow and the hog
will take a back seat, and cottonseed
oil will be universally used instead
of lard and butter. A superior quality
of paper is made of cottonseed hulls
which are also used largely as bran
for fertilizers.

LION DOLLARS THIS YEAR. i
And yet despite this prodigious outpouring iof Petroleum from California's Oil fields, the
consumption is far ahead of production by f ully 16,000 barrels a day. That is, why the
prices of crude oil are sure to be maintained, and why the Oil Industry is a permanent as
well as a profitable investment. . '
Arid the field that produces the most. oil, and the better oil is Coalinga.
Just think, the California National Crude O il Company owns thousands of acres in this
field. If we only develop one-tenth of this territory and get wells only half as good as the
balance of the field, the income would be a bout 500 per cent per year on your investment
at 40 cents per share. , . ;
