Having traveled several thousand
miles in a tour of education in the
cement business and pleasure com
bined, John Mars the local cement
contractor has returned to resume
his summer's work. From Portland
he routed through to New Orleans
on Jaunary 28, stopping at frequent
Intervals enroute, and then he head
ed for Chicago, making several stops
again, including one at Kansas City.
Helena, Butte, Billings and Spokane
were other towns at which he touch
ed. While at Kansas City he pur
chased 2000 barrels of cement which
is to be shipped during the summer.

At last Union Is to get what Union
has long needed relates the Union

Catherine Creek. The petition has
been drawn up In proper form and

of County Commissioners and they,
do doubt, will take favorable action
