BIG PRICE FOR LANDS (ASTONISHING RISE IN VALUES REPRESENTED A tract of land was sold this week of 120 acres, four miles northeast of Imbler for $10,000. This is a por tion of the old Bennett 1100 acre farm that seven years ago sold for $10,000. This tract has been divided and sold for $27,000, a raise in value of $17,000 within seven years. Mr. Ricks was the purchaser of the 120 acre tract, without improvements, paying $90 per acre. ' Considering location, this is though to be the highest pries paid for land In the Grande Ronde valley. This may be debated, how ever, as other tracts have brought higher prices This is a good farm and was not purchased by a strang er but by a man who owned and farms adjoining land.
