TAKES INTERESTING GAME LAST SIGHT He play required to end Intensely In tercsting basketball game A scattering crowd got more than their money'B worth at the rink last night when the B. M. A. nosed out a victory in a tie game, the contest going 'live minutes beyond the stip ulated time and ending when Currey threw a field . goal making the re quired two additional points. The Lambda Phi Alpha, entered tbe first half with a vim and showing sur prising development la . form; speed and general knowledge of the game, ovpr their last . appearance, played the sturdy B. M. A. boys oft their feet and principally on free throws gained a strong lead before the half was over. The score was five to nine in the Alpha's favor when the second half opened. By consistent work, and a return to customary teamwork and speed the B. M. A. players slowly overtook the lead and ihes the game ended the score Bicod 13 all. In the playoff the B. M. A, won. : From all standpoints the game was as intensely Interesting as any ihat has been played this year. At times the B. M. A. showed flashes of teem work that has not been equalled 1-y any local team this year, but lEial shooting was not up to tne usual standard. There were no par-, jfcular stars, every player working In a satisfactory manner. Chllders officiated creditably as referee. The lineups were: i Lambda Phi Alpha Noyes - and Plckler, center; Reynolds and Kel ly, guard; Oliver and Ralston, for wards. ' B. M. A. Bohnenkamp, center! Grady and Currey, forwards; Peare.) Bolton and Lottes (Capt.) guards; j Crawley, utility. ' Jellce. ' . .
